Ideal for colorists and all industry professionals that encounter ACES, Color Managed Workflows, High Dynamic Range (HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision), UHD, and Wide Color Gamut. We look at how grades and looks are affected by these new developments and which tools are most useful to achieve bigger better color.
Topics include basic color science, color gamuts, calibration software and probes, practical calibration, profiles and LUTs. Spectracal Calman software is used in this class.
The workshop begins with an explanation of color gamuts, EOTF and formats before exploring color-managed workflows. It includes an explanation and practical monitor calibration.
Explore all the Resolve grading tools. Learn all the tricks to balance pictures better and quicker. Understand the effects of long grading sessions, how to trust your eyes and how to manage color constancy. Then improve your matching techniques, including simplifying and condensing a grade or look.
