Happy Coloring!

NAB was a fun affair, though perhaps a little quieter than usual. The latest new technology to watch is definitely stereoscopic (3D) programming, which has come a long way since the old red and green glasses.

I have added a more substantial Links page to the site. It is far from complete, but its a start, and it includes links to some useful utility software as well as the bigger manufacturers.

Watch out for the three full DI grades I did at Post Lounge, Brisbane using their Digital Vision Film Master.

Just completed is How To Change In 9 Weeks (2008) with writer/ director Simone North. Shot with 35mm film.

Before that was Acolytes (2008) with writer/ director Jon Hewitt. Shot with Viper in anamorphic log Filmstream mode.

And my first film at Post Lounge was Punishment (2008) with writer/director Danny Matier. Shot with P2.

I am available as a freelance colorist for

  • Nucoda Film Master
  • da Vinci 2K and 2K Plus
  • Silicon Color Final Touch
  • Apple Color

In addition to working as a colorist, Kevin Shaw is endorsed by da Vinci, Thomson, Nucoda and Silicon Color for on site training, including:

da Vinci 2K Plus and other da Vinci products
Spirit 4K and other Thomson products
Nucoda Film Master
Silicon Color FinalTouch

Kevin also writes articles, white papers and manuals, many of which are available from the COLOR pages
