Color Pipeline Mentor Program Series 1-3 This program allows participants to learn wider disciplines and structure. Kevin has an excellent track record of identifying trends that define the future, and has been an early adopter of pipeline color management, ACES and HDR. Series 1: Setting the Look in Production Module One starts with the general principles of color science without getting too technical or theoretical. Kevin effortlessly collaborates with cinematographers and directors to ensure optimal capture of the intended visual mood. He serves as the bridge between the creative team and the technical crew. We discuss the psychology of seeing and the language of color. Participants learn how to plan and achieve the vision from set to screen.
Series 2 of the Color Pipeline Mentor Program covers setting up projects, the post production process including conforming, color management systems including but not limited to ACES, technical grading and analysing images, what makes picture better, ShowLUTs, LMTs and Camera LUTs, SDR and HDR.
Series 3 of the Color Pipeline Mentor Program covers Look Development, primary vs secondary techniques, dealing with skin, sky and other common issues, Film Print Emulation, HDR grading and Dolby Vision. Each week there will be practice and theory, with examples in davinci resolve. The concepts are valid for all grading systems. CLASS S301 Starts May the 4th 2024
